Customization: A Velcro pad was added to prevent black latches from taking the wind or being caught when closing doors.

Home made handles under construction. Awning is fixed on the roof top tent and the rails.

For cleaning the fabric, here are the manufacturer’s recommendations:

  • Cleaning solution:
    • 1 part 10% hydrogen peroxide to 3 parts water.
    • Optionally add a few drops of black soap or mild dishwashing liquid
  • Apply with a soft brush
  • Leave to act for 5 to 10 minutes maximum
  • Rinse thoroughly

For stubborn mold stains:

  • Repeat a second light application rather than using a stronger solution

Strictly avoid:

  • Bleach
  • Using a pressure washer too close
  • Aggressive scrubbing

After complete cleaning and drying, applying an outdoor fabric waterproofing treatment may be beneficial if the fabric begins to absorb water. For example, products designed for awnings or polycotton tents.

Note: The first generation of protective covers has known waterproofing issues, and water tends to accumulate in the folded awning.

Pour le nettoyage de la toile voici les conseils du fabricant:

  • Solution de nettoyage:
    • 1 volume d’eau oxygénée 10 % pour 3 volumes d’eau
    • ajouter éventuellement quelques gouttes de savon noir ou liquide vaisselle doux
  • Application avec une brosse souple
  • Temps d’action : 5 à 10 minutes maximum
  • Rinçage abondant.

Pour des traces de moisissure tenaces :

  • Refaire une deuxième passe légère plutôt qu’un produit plus concentré.

Évitez absolument :

  • Javel ;
  • nettoyeur haute pression trop près ;
  • frottage agressif.

Après nettoyage et séchage complets, un réimperméabilisant textile extérieur peut s’avérer utile si la toile commence à absorber l’eau. Par exemple, des produits pour toiles de store ou pour des tentes en polycoton.

NB: La première génération de bâche de protection présente des soucis d’étanchéité, et l’eau s’accumule dans le auvent plié.
